Emergency Responders face situations that can push them to their limits.
No one understands the demands of duty better than other Responders.
During those challenging times, we all can benefit connecting with those who understand.
To meet you where you are, we created a confidential app that provides Responders a safe place to connect and chat anonymously with each other.
Available 24/7, ResponderRel8 provides a platform for Healthcare Workers and Emergency Responders to connect with others with similar lived experience, normalizing the stressors and challenges of the job while increasing sense of connection.
We invite you check out
iRel8.org. Available in the Apple, Google, and FirstNet app stores.
Your Input is Crucial to Our Mission!
All Clear Foundation’s mission is to improve the life expectancy and wellbeing of all Emergency Responders.
To continue serving our mission, we need and value your input.
Register today so we can keep you up-to-date on resources that can make a difference.
If you are in crisis, call 911 or Safe Call Now at 206-459-3020. You can also text BADGE to 741-741 to reach Crisis Text Line. If someone in the app seems to be in crisis, please share this information with them.
If you are not in a crisis situation, we encourage you to access a relevant chat room in the app and ask your fellow Responders how they found support for, or worked through, the issue you are experiencing. Chances are, someone has been where you are now and can help.
If you prefer to do your own research, additional resources on a variety of topics relevant to Emergency Responders are available at AllClearFoundation.org/Resources.
ResponderRel8 is designed for all those who respond to emergencies, whether career or volunteer, currently serving or former. We include: Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, Dispatch, Frontline Medical Workers, Ski Patrol, Disaster Responders, Crisis Counselors, Corrections, Coroner’s personnel, Wildland Firefighters, and more. We all have tough jobs in sometimes challenging cultures, a lot of trauma exposure, and our own coping mechanisms. Sometimes we just need to connect with others who get it- who understand the job. Social connection is a basic human need- now you have access to peers 24/7.
The team at All Clear Foundation repeatedly heard from Law Enforcement, Firefighter, EMS and Dispatch personnel that many Emergency Responders would benefit from connecting with someone else who has “been there, done that” but they are struggling to find appropriate outlets that are trusted and/or confidential.
No matter the topic, talking to a peer is often the best course, yet not everyone wants to connect with people they know … and for rural responders, there may not be many peers to connect within the first place.
That’s why ResponderRel8 was created. Whether you want to connect with someone about job growth possibilities, seek guidance on a topic you are struggling with, help someone find resources that were beneficial to you or share an uplifting story from your day, you can now do so via ResponderRel8 – and you can even be anonymous if you choose.
ResponderRel8 was built thanks to funding Global Medical Response provided to All Clear Foundation. The team at iRel8 developed the app for All Clear Foundation, which benefited from guidance from ResponderStrong, Warrior’s Rest, Global Medical Response and a bevy of line-level and leadership personnel from all branches. There are also more than 100 App Ambassadors in ResponderRel8 who volunteer their time to support users in the app.
We are so glad you are considering joining your peers in ResponderRel8! Subscriptions are $.99 USD per month and a portion is donated to All Clear Foundation to support Emergency Responder programs. After you join, your subscription will auto-renew each month unless cancelled – which you can do at any time in Google Play or the Apple App Store*. Please note that subscriptions will show up as a charge for “Tchtck” (our app developer) in iTunes or Google Play and are processed 24 hours before the new period begins. If you choose to end your subscription, please be sure to cancel before then to avoid being charged for the next month.
If you believe your organization is providing access for you, please contact them directly for instructions.

Absolutely! Whether you choose to fund subscriptions, establish a private room for your department/organization or simply make your Emergency Responders aware of the app, we have a multitude of ways for organizations to share ResponderRel8 with their teams. Please send us a note via our Contact Form so we can explore options that work best for your team.
You can share as little or as much information about yourself as you want – and that includes being anonymous in the app if you choose to be. Simply create a Display Name that others wouldn’t connect back to you and don’t share information in the app that would allow someone to guess your identity.
Your email address is solely used to create your account and log in, and is not directly linked to your activity nor will it be your Display Name in the app. Some users also choose to create a separate email entirely for their ResponderRel8 account. If you choose to be anonymous to peers, choose a Display Name that no one would associate with you. When first entering ResponderRel8 you will be listed as “New User,” but keeping that makes it difficult for people to reference you so that can be changed in Settings. We do not sell data, including email addresses, to any third party. We periodically email relevant app updates and follow all CAN-SPAM regulations, including unsubscribe.
Oh boy, we knew this may happen. When building ResponderRel8, we had to choose between validating a user is/was a Emergency Responder and enabling them to be anonymous – we couldn’t do both. We felt anonymity was the priority. To help ensure users are truly current or former Responders, we deployed several check-points in the subscription process that require affirmation.
If you believe someone in the app falsely represented being a Emergency Responder, please reach out via the Contact Us link in the ResponderRel8 app Settings section or via our Contact Form on this page.
ResponderRel8 was built to be a supportive community for First Responders and we hope that conversations are held in that spirit. We all know people have differing opinions and approaches, so just keep in mind that good advice for one person can actually be bad advice for another.
That said, we do not tolerate abusive, bullying or overtly inappropriate posts and they are a violation of the ResponderRel8 Terms of Service. We have future app enhancements planned that will immediately identify and address most offenses. Until then, please contact us in the app or via our Contact Form to report the situation and we will investigate.
Yes, you can absolutely block a user. Simply click on their User Name and hit “Block Messages from ”. Doing so hides your profiles and messages from each other. Essentially, both people become invisible to each other in the app until the block is removed. Know that this can make for some interesting chat scenarios if you are in the same room or group because you will not see their messages, and they won’t see yours, but the other individuals in the chat will see both.
If you are blocking a user because you believe them to be abusive or in violation of the Terms of Service, please reach out in the app or via the Contact Form on this page.
ResponderRel8 is funded by
All Clear Foundation. Please consider making a donation to support Emergency Responder initiatives.
